DataStorm 2024
We participated in the DataStorm 2024 hackathon, organized by the Estonian Environment Agency, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia, and Garage48.
💡 Objective: To create innovative solutions that help address environmental issues and combat climate change.
Together with the inspiring women of WoTech – Maria Mang, Mari Sarapuu, Monika Graudina, Marge Koorep, Anete Viise – we dove into the world of open data and developed the Ökoskoop, a prototype that functions as a personal environmental data navigator.
This was our first hackathon, and definitely not the last!
🎯 What did we experience and achieve?
🌱 Practical skills: working with data and the courage to handle open data in new ways.
🔧 Tool finding and application: we acquired the skill to search for and use various tools that helped us quickly move from idea to prototype.
💪 Stress tolerance: the intensity of the hackathon tested our ability to act focused and efficiently under time pressure.
🤝 Collaboration and inspiration: the guiding questions from mentors and the supportive atmosphere of the team made the hackathon an unforgettable experience.aperiam.
